Currently, you can sort cases by Case Created At, which includes a timestamp of when the case was created (unchangeable). This ensures the integrity of the order in which the cases were created if sorting by this column.
Sorting by the Decedent Date of Death column, however, does not take Time of Death into account. If more than one case is entered with the same Date of Death, they display according to the order in which they were input into the system.
Current Example: (sorted descending by DOD)
Decedent 2 |
created 3pm |
DOD 1/7/21 |
TOD 6am |
Decedent 1 |
created 2:50pm |
DOD 1/7/21 |
TOD 11am |
Proposed Example: (sorted descending by DOD & TOD combined)
Decedent 1 |
created 2:50pm |
DOD 1/7/21 (TOD 11am) |
Decedent 2 |
created 3pm |
DOD 1/7/21 (TOD 6am) |
If TOD is not entered, sorting could default to the "timestamp" of when the case was created. Otherwise, sorting would consider TOD in the order.
