I had a FH suggest that there be a field in the Planning Center where FDs and Families can exchange notes. I think this would be a great way to have less emailing between these parties. Also so families can write notes to each other when they live in different places. They want notes right where they need to see them instead of having to call or text about it.
Jumping on this conversation...when I click on the "Alerts" in my dashboard panel, I see a list of Planning Center activity, like I would in "internal notes". If there were a way to actually mark off or reply to these alerts, I think it would go a long way to assure the families that we're getting the information. What's nice is that anyone can see these alerts. So if a funeral director is off, they could just ask someone in the office to keep tabs of their cases.
We are currently working on a feature related to this, John! If you're willing to provide some input, someone from our team will reach out to you in the next few weeks about this project. Thanks for your feedback!
Passare is great for collaboration between the staff and client family but, one shortfall is that it relys on email for a family to communicate with one director. If there were to be a communication panel, our directors would not have to keep responding to emails on their off time. I'm aware we can use a shared email for this but that creates other issues with multiple responses and compounding inbox traffic.
